THE ROAD MATTERS Psalms 37:23 (ESV) The steps of a man are established by the LORD, when he delights in his way. •One of the most noted verses in the Bible concerning divine direction is Psalms 37:23. •But there are a few enlightening things I want to point out about this verse. 1. The KJV says the steps of a “good” man are ordered. But the word “good” is an addition. It’s not in the original text. 2. The word “ordered” means to be established or to be made safe & successful. 3. We often overlook the last part of the verse which gives the condition of this promise. It says, “When He [GOD] delights in his way.” 4. When the Lord is pleased with the way (or the road) a person takes, He guarantees the success of the steps he takes along the way. 5. THE ROAD MATTERS. The path you’re on matters. Instead of asking for ordered steps, ask to be placed on the right road. 6. Ordered steps are automatic when you’re on the right path, doing the right thing. 7. PRAY: Lord, guide me to the right path for my life in this season. #Godfidence #WhatHeSaid #Prosper
