All we are witnessing from climate change, human wildlife conflicts, human land conflicts, droughts, hunger, mental health challenges, political conflicts, to radicalisation of young people are but communication from nature. In as much as there are efforts to address the challenges emanating from the pressure on the Planet, we need to tackle the real problem. The problem is our software as habitats. 🌍 Empowering Future Leaders in Climate Change Adaptation 🌱 Recently I had the opportunity to facilitate a training session on climate change adaptation for an inspiring group of young leaders! 🌿✨ During the training, we explored the significant challenges of climate change including #sedimentation #drainage #waterlogging #salinity #climatemigration #WASH and discussed #naturebased and #indigenous adaptation strategies. It was truly inspiring to see the passion, creativity, and determination of these young minds in action. Highlights from the training: 🔹 Comprehensive sessions on the science of climate change and its impacts for the #southwest coastal region of Bangladesh. 🔹 Interactive workshops on sustainable practices and nature based solution. 🔹 Idea developed for group projects where participants crafted #actionable adaptation strategies for their local communities. 🔹 Motivational sessions with renowned climate experts and activists. I am incredibly encouraged by the commitment and #enthusiasm demonstrated by all the participants. They not only understand the urgency of the climate crisis but are also ready to take meaningful action within their communities. 🌍💪 A big thank you to #Uttaran for organizing this impactful training and to all the participants for their active engagement and contributions.
