Scottie Scheffler is really good at golfing. And as he wakes up to see another green jacket hanging in his closet, Caitlin Clark wakes up for the last time not being the #1 pick in the WNBA draft. And we have all woken up to the opportunity to recognize a Nice Guy or Gal. Every Friday, I’ll share nominations for people who have been identified as nice guys (and gals). If you want to nominate someone, just shoot me a private message by 5:00 EST on Thursday. There are only 3 requirements: 1) you have to be connected to the person you nominate 2) you can only nominate one person per week 3) you can’t nominate yourself 😀 If you want to provide a brief reason for your selection, that’s great, but it’s not a requirement. Let’s recognize people who make a difference simply by being nice. Have a great day, everyone. https://lnkd.in/e8JX9YcC #network #sportsbiz #people #niceguy #networking #sportsmarketing

Really enjoyed attending another informative event from our #EDI committee today on the importance of #allyship which was expertly lead by our #Pride Champion Stacey Reay and guest speaker Elliott Pentland-Middleton. Key takeaways:- 👉Allyship is most effective when modelled from the top down 👉Educate yourselves and your managers to enable them to fully support employees-training is key. 👉Challenge your own bias. We are all human and make mistakes but be willing to question and learn. 👉 Allyship can take many forms… from listening to lived experiences and challenges to celebrating Pride events and advocating on others behalf. All of these actions can help support and advance real change. #EDI #Pride #diversityandinclusion

Let's try this again. Last week, we didn't have any #niceguy nominations, so I'm hopeful we'll have some great ones this week to make up for it. I know we have a holiday weekend coming up here in the US, so if you have time to give a shout out before you take off for the unofficial start of summer that would be great. Every Friday, I’ll share nominations for people who have been identified as nice guys (and gals). If you want to nominate someone, just shoot me a private message by 5:00 EST Thursday. How often do you ponder the true essence of belonging? In a world where the boundaries of exclusivity and inclusivity often intersect, the desire to feel at home in this ever-evolving world resonates deeply. The recent developments at Garrick Club, underscore the evolving dynamics of exclusive memberships. The decision to move towards inclusivity after 193 years reflects broader societal shifts and the quest for meaningful belonging. At ONDA, our mission is to redefine clubs as more than physical spaces; they are sanctuaries where individuals driven by shared passions and missions come together. It's a vision of connection, exploration, and purpose, perfectly aligned with modern explorers seeking authentic and meaningful encounters. My journey with the concept of belonging began during the early ‘80s when I accompanied my grandfather to Circolo la Vela in Sicily and later discovered the Circolo della Conversazione, a 17th-century "Club of Conversation". These experiences revealed that private members’ clubs have their own identities and purpose, representing much more than mere spaces. Understanding the challenges and opportunities they face today is at the core of ONDA's ethos. The commitment to embody a paradigm shift led us to the launch of Clubs Love, offering advisory to support clubs navigate the intricate nuances of this industry, from conception to operation and beyond. Let’s build spaces that resonate with the heart and soul of every member, creating lasting connections and unforgettable experiences, together. #ONDAExperience #ClubsLove #FutureOfMembersClubs #Inclusivity https://lnkd.in/eh_jzc_H

https://lnkd.in/d2npkgGS Applause to Mads Kikkenborg for talking about his first experiences abroad. A lot of his colleagues experience these challenges at an even earlier age (16-20). Neither the players nor their parents are aware of the social challenges that will hit them, when they close their apartment door after training every day. It will hit hard. My hope is that stakeholders (agents, club selling, club buying) in the football industry will soon start to support the players at a personal level off the pitch. It will be good for both performance and the mental health of the human being. Stress factors on the pitch (are inevitable and a part of the game): Significantly higher sporting level. Tougher competition from fellow players. A new locker room without a group of friends. High expectations from the buying club, fans, family, friends, agent. A lot of new routines in relation to matchdays and training. Stress factors off the pitch (are just as many but can be handled by support): Many hours alone - not freedom but for many an "enemy". Lack of structure in the new everyday life. Doubts, loneliness, dissatisfaction. “100” practical things to solve. New language and culture. Integration of a partner and children. A lot of people ask me why the club selling a player should invest in player support? Well, the club selling a player will raise their possibility to get their performance bonusses. And if a club has a good track record (their players are successful on the pitch) it will make the club able to ask higher transfer prices in general. Please remember there is a human being behind every athlete🙏

This weekend, I had the good fortune to witness Kynren—an epic tale of England, brought to life through stunning performance, history, and breathtaking visuals. As I reflect on the experience, several key lessons come to mind that can resonate with all of us, regardless of our industry or profession: 1. Collaboration Fuels Greatness: The sheer scale of the production—over a thousand volunteers working together seamlessly—reminds us that the most remarkable achievements come from a collective effort. Whether you’re in business, technology, or the arts, success is a team sport. 2. The Power of Storytelling: Kynren isn’t just a historical retelling, it’s a vivid, emotional journey that captivates and inspires. In today’s world, storytelling is more relevant than ever. It’s how we connect, influence, and drive change in our organizations and beyond. 3. Resilience Through Time: The story of England portrayed in Kynren shows the resilience of people through centuries of change, challenge, and adversity. It’s a timely reminder that no matter how tough things get, persistence and adaptability will always see us through. 4. Embracing Diversity: Kynren’s celebration of different eras, cultures, and people underscores the importance of diversity. By embracing various perspectives and experiences, we enrich our own understanding and foster a more inclusive environment in whatever we do. 5. Creating Memorable Experiences: The production’s attention to detail, from the costumes to the choreography, ensures that the audience leaves with a lasting impression. In business, as in life, it’s the little things—the extra effort—that turn good into unforgettable. If you ever get the chance to see Kynren, I highly recommend it—not only for its spectacular display but for the timeless lessons that it teaches us about leadership, community, and perseverance. What lessons have you learned from experiences outside of work that you bring back to your professional life? #Kynren #LeadershipLessons #Storytelling #Collaboration #Resilience #Diversity #PerformanceLeadership https://www.11arches.com/

There is No Tomorrow, You have to start Now!! Are You Broke, Stuck, Scared or Full of Doubt? Welcome to the Club. You are not the only one dealing with all that. Every great person had similar Challenges, But guess what? They did not Stop. They kept putting in the work till it paid off. So keep working, Keep showing up. Ignore your imperfections, No one started as a Professional anyway, Even an Expert started as an Amateur. Consistency is Key like they say, But it's not easy. You gotta stay consistent anyway. Procrastination is a thief of Time…. Get rid of the ” I will do it Tomorrow” mentality. Keep a “There is no Tomorrow Mentality”. This will help you get so many things done. Enough of your wishes and Hopes, It's time to swing into action. Start where you are, With what you Have, and watch yourself get better. P.S. Always Put God first. Stay Strong 💪. Mayowa.

Its natives are human, but it is not unusual to find Elves and other races in the tribes and in the settlements. It is defined in three parts: Xtepia Proper - the permanent settlements in the north coast These cities are planned, with straight streets, regular open spaces, similar government buildings that operate often in walled gardens that resemble a flowery plain. Although they were built in the middle of marshlands, next to the river, they are built on solid stone made by the Abacadian wizard team. Xtep-Prot the roaming capital - always in the Xtepia lands, but for the last years close to the southern coast to help organize the defense against the Kingdom of Lakoria. It is divided in 2 halves, the Khan and the People. The Khan is always setup in the east and it includes the residence of the royals, and most administrative councils. The western part is called the People and it includes the guilds, embassies, and most other residents of ...
