Not everyone is your customer . . This statement has been ringing in my head all day long. Before I started my journey in business and marketing, I remember there was a time when I had to make enquiries about a certain business I wanted to go into. I went ahead speaking to some people with the intention of putting the word out there and taking advice. Most of the questions I was asked then, was "Who is your target audience?" It was almost like the most difficult question for me to answer back then 😅 . I often found myself saying "Everyone" with the mindset that 'If my business could serve everyone with no major focus, then it is a win 😂 😂" . I started the business with that mindset But guess what That was the end, it was a total fail 😥. Based on my experience, when considering a business or service, it is important to note these: 👩💼 Your market focus can't be everyone. Choose the specific people you want to serve exceptionally well. 👩💼 You can't satisfy the whole world, but you can deliver outstanding value to those actively seeking your products or services. 👩💼 The smallest viable market can actually be the sweetest spot (my opinion though). 👩💼 When choosing your target customers, find that corner hungry for your solution. Serving their desires makes everything effortless. 👩💼 Trying to be all things to all people leads to mediocrity.
