Work alongside our trained mentors and take part in impactful projects that will contribute to a bright future for the community you reside in. 2 opportunities are available for placement this spring: 📋 Highway Capacity Analysis & Traffic Simulation • $15.00/per hour 🔧 Vehicle Equipment Technician Trainee • $17.00/per hour Human Resources is excited to showcase both of the above opportunities for placement during the Youth Apprenticeship Summit on Thurs., Dec. 19. Interested students can stop by and network with County field staff from Fleet Services and Development Review & Planning. Questions regarding the Youth Apprenticeship program and this summit should be directed to the Work Based Learning Coordinators at your high school.

Wisconsin’s Registered Apprenticeship Program has 17,089 apprentices enrolled this year, a record in the program’s 112-year history! At Madison College, apprenticeships are not only able to earn while they learn, but have a strong support system in place to help them on their path to success. In the Nursing apprenticeship program at Madison College, student cohorts provide a sense of community with study groups, tutoring, and help available every step of the way from a team of advisors, instructors, and staff. Jenna Behm-Lawton, a Psychology Instructor at Madison College talks about all the ways students are supported throughout their apprenticeship journey on the job and at school.
