CEO & Founder @ BabyQuip | #1 baby gear rental service for traveling families

As CEO of BabyQuip, I spend a lot of time thinking about the pain points of our customer base. That means digging into the unique struggles that come with parenting young kids. But as a mentor to several female entrepreneurs, and as the mother of two wonderful adult sons, I’ve realized there’s a hard truth that many new parents haven’t encountered yet. There’s no “hard stage” or “easy stage” of parenting. Having babies is hard. Having pre-teens and adolescents is hard. Even mothering adults can be hard. My only tip for figuring out parenthood? Get comfortable with the fact that you’ll always be figuring it out. The only difference as your kids age is that you find fewer and fewer handbooks and instructional guides for being a parent. Not to mention that as your kids change, so does the world around them. Being a mom today isn’t the same as it was fifty years ago, which means that to some extent, we’ll always be making it up as we go. There’s one thing that never changes, though. Being a parent is incredibly rewarding, the whole way through. Happy Mother’s Day to the moms at every stage of the journey!
