UK BTR Market Update As regional build to rent developments seem to be a common theme in the conversations I have day to day, I was very interested to learn that in Q1 2024 London held the majority of investment in the UK. There is definitely still a lot of growth in other, smaller cities, but this shows a notable bounce back for the capital. #btr #buildtorent #prs #residentialproperty

During our Build to Rent Report 2024 launch webinar, Iain Murray explored a critical challenge in the BTR sector: the rapid market expansion outpacing the availability of skilled professionals. This will be an interesting discussion: BTR - Stick to core assets or time to explore alternatives? - Which assets offer safe harbors amidst rising rates and a possible downturn? - Is student housing & co-living the new hotspot for investors? - How do operators stand out and ensure value? - Are B-cities the new bet for investors? I am looking forward to discussing the above topic with my fellow colleagues within the industry at next week's Deutsche GRI Club in Frankfurt on 15.05 and 16.05. If you are around let me know, I'd be happy to connect. #coliving #btr #realestatedevelopment #immobilien #residentialassets #newconcepts #alternativeinvestments

Between 2015 and 2022, BTR created thousands of homes in Dublin. With concerns that international investors are not pursuing the Dublin market, the question is how to unblock this important part of the market. In a new Bisnow article, our Manager Director, Peter Horgan gives his insights. Peter calls on the Irish Government to make strategic policy changes, saying: Regulations [removal of BTR and Co-living] pulled the rug out from under the feet of the build-to-rent market in Ireland, which had created something like 10,000 dwellings in Dublin. For the next phase of PRS development, we’re going to need some flexibility from the state. What we need is some more flexibility around the (rent) caps so they are focused on the tenancy, not the property.” Read more here: https://lnkd.in/dtdiUzJR #News #BTR #PRS #GraylingProperties #DublinProperties #PropertyMarket #RathminesHouse #PropertyInsights

Particularly insightful view of the housing market presented by Dr Ric Deverell, Chief Economist at Macquarie Group. Interesting insights from local Gen 1 BTR providers on need to focus on operational delivery and costs with a strong emphasis on customer experience to attract future finance for Gen 2 projects. As BTR continues to evolve, delivering long term value to residents and stakeholders will be crucial to ensure sustained growth.#LSSC2024 #housingchoicesaustralia
