They are cars like the #Renault 5, the #Citroen eC3 and now the #Hyundai Inster. They are able to get customers excited about e-mobility. They cost around or well under 25,000 euros. ➤   This is certainly still no bargain, but the manufacturers are putting together attractive leasing rates for these cars. This makes electric driving more accessible to broad sections of the population - and that is precisely why such models are needed. The latest electric car in this trio is the Inster. I was able to drive it for the first time in September at the Tannistest in Denmark. At that time, I was unable to write anything about its qualities, as the embargo only expired on 1 November. Now I can - and you can read the test here. For me, the Inster is certainly not one of the beauties in terms of design, but it makes up for this with its inner values. ➤   Inside, it surprises with lots and lots of space, fully folding seats and good driving performance. It therefore has everything it takes to appeal to those who are still unfamiliar with e-mobility. The Inster is also one of the candidate cars for the The Car of the Year award, the voting process (Longlist, Shortlist, Final Tests) for which is still ongoing. The international jury will make their final decision in January. I am curious to see how the Inster will fare - for me, at any rate, it is one of the surprises in an otherwise strong field of competitors.
