Excited to share a video from one of our drivers, Skye Malcolm, capturing his experience charging at our newest DC Fast Charging station at Casey's in Cridersville, OH, off I-75. Huge thanks to Skye for supporting Francis Energy—drivers like you are at the heart of everything we do. This video is a perfect example of our commitment to delivering on our promises. We also want to extend our gratitude to DriveOhio and Casey's for partnering with us to bring this state-of-the-art charging site to life through the NEVI program. As we continue expanding our network through NEVI, this project reflects our mission and dedication to transform the electrification of transportation by ensuring equitable, affordable, reliable, and safe access to public EV charging stations across America, leaving no community behind. https://lnkd.in/gkPtXrAH

“At the current pace, public fast-charging sites will outnumber gas stations in the US in about eight years — but charger momentum is only expected to accelerate.” The majority of non-EV owning consumers point to a lack of charging infrastructure as a primary reason against going electric, but the times are changing! According to Bloomberg, there will be more charging sites than gas stations in only 8 years. Wild to think of how exponentially quick charging infrastructure is going to grow, especially in more rural areas. https://lnkd.in/da_EcRQu Side anecdote - we took our EV from Charleston to the Outer Banks last week for our annual family beach trip and charging was a breeze. Marcia Newbert and I were even saying that we would have never considered stopping at one of the host restaurants that we charged at, but did because they offered fast charging. And we’re glad we did, too, as they made some fantastic hush puppies. EV charging shouldn’t be seen as an additional amenity, but rather as a core business strategy to increase brand awareness and foot traffic with new customers!

Nationwide installations of public charging stations for electric vehicles are accelerating and will potentially surpass the number of gas stations by 2032. In the second quarter, 704 public chargers were activated, bringing the U.S. total to about 9,000. The growth was partly fueled by the Biden administration’s infrastructure program, which deployed about $5 billion to jump-start EV charging systems. Meanwhile, EV operators are projected to double spending this year on charging infrastructure to about $6.1 billion. EVgo, a manager of charger networks, says people are driving their EVs farther than they used to. https://lnkd.in/guTDYX6e

With over 700 new public fast-charging stations added in the last quarter alone, and nearly 9,000 fast-charging sites now available, America's EV charger deserts may be history soon. At that pace, gas stations may be outnumbered in just 8 years. Operators are investing $6 billion in charging infrastructure this year – double the investment from just two years ago. The forecast for 2030? Another doubling of that spend. Read more! 👉 https://ow.ly/3prS50SFEv9 #EVcharging #infrastructure #transportation

State of Florida will get $198 million of federal EV charger funding over five years, but Wawa, Inc., Buc-ee's, Ltd.’s, Busy Bee, and others can’t access it because the state is slacking. Florida won’t release federal EV charger funding Florida is the largest state in the US that hasn’t released an application for EV charging operators to access millions in National Electric Vehicle Instructure (NEVI) funding. (It’s one of 14 laggard states.) Yet Florida is No 2 in the US for having the most EVs. https://lnkd.in/gPvWVVZ9
