Ever wondered what keeps network engineers up at night? It's not just coffee. Monitoring network device health is crucial for smooth operations. Here are some key metrics to keep an eye on: 🧠 CPU and Memory Utilisation 📊 Interface Errors and Packet Loss 🚀 Bandwidth Usage and Throughput 🌡️ Temperature and Power Consumption 🔧 Configuration Changes Everyone has a preference, but these metrics can make a significant difference in maintaining a reliable network. #NetworkEngineering #Recruitment #Hiring

5 Mistakes I made as a Verification Engineer Someone recently asked me about my experience working as a Verification engineer and if I have any advice to share to engineers starting now. I thought it would be better if I shared some of the silly mistakes I made back then. These are things I’ve learned to improve over time especially points 2 and 5 - which weren’t very clear to me at first. I still remember filing bugs without going too deep in the RTL and sometimes getting my analysis completely wrong. I also used to delete passing logs and coverage files too soon - struggling to provide results later when asked. Does this sound relatable? I’m sure you’ve made your own mistakes—comment below! 😄 #servingTheNextBug #lowpowerdesign #verification #semiconductors #verificationengineer

Can I Transition to Embedded Software Engineering from SOC Analysis? Answers: https://lnkd.in/gSeqaPNz #EmbeddedSoftware #CareerChange #CodingJourney Hey everyone! 👋 I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to dive into a question that's buzzing around in my mind: Is it too late for me to switch to embedded software engineering? Just to give you a little background, I recently wrapped up my studies and I'm currently working as a SOC analyst. While I’ve enjoyed it, I’ve discovered a real passion for coding—except web development, which doesn’t quite hit the mark for me. Here are some key points I’ve been contemplating: Experience Matters: Coming from a SOC analyst role, I've got a solid foundation in networking. But when it comes to embedded systems, I’m feeling a bit lost since I lack an electrical engineering background. Just knowing the basics about circuits makes me wonder if I can catch up. 🤔 Coding Skills: I've been revising C and am now at an intermediate level, especially with sockets, which is exciting! However, I'm aware that embedded software often involves a lot more than just coding. Hands-On Practice: I’m considering purchasing a microcont...
