In my mentorship sessions, I'm often asked how to hire employees when expanding a business into new markets. The question itself is misguided. ❌ You don’t need to find everyone. You only need to hire one experienced manager who can handle finding the rest. If I were launching a business in another country, I would focus on hiring just one manager. 📎 If I had a deep understanding of the product, I wouldn't necessarily need someone with experience in that specific field. 📎 If I wasn’t well-versed in the product, I would look for a product expert far more knowledgeable than myself. But if I already know what I’m doing, then I simply need a strong manager. Someone who can act as an office manager, capable of both getting things done and leading others—and ideally, enjoys leading even more.
