Getting media coverage is often a SNOWBALL EFFECT. My taco website got featured 10 days ago in Food & Wine Magazine. Since then, several other big media outlets have seen the coverage *on Food & Wine* and decided to write a story about it organically. I know this because I haven't sent any outreach emails at all. Moral of the story: focus on the biggest media outlets first. Once you get one piece of coverage, others soon follow! Timeline: · 3rd Sep: Food & Wine Magazine · 4th Sep: Fox News + Yahoo · 10th Sep: Hacker News · 11th Sep: Morning Brew · 12th Sep: Financial Times Second moral of the story: unlinked mentions and nofollow links are still incredibly helpful. Particularly when said coverage triggers other websites to link to you!

McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish earns big smile from Trump Alaska pollock had another big moment in the spotlight on Sunday (Nov. 17) when Donald Trump was photographed with a McDonald's Filet-O-Fish sandwich while traveling with some of his cabinet picks on his private plane, Trump Force One. In the photo, the 45th, and soon-to-be 47th president, can be seen smiling with a McDonald's order that includes a Filet-O-Fish, Big Mac, fries and a Fanta orange soda. The meal seems to be a slimmed-down version of his former go-to McDonald's order while in the White House the first time around: two Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish sandwiches and a chocolate milkshake, according to the authors of "Let Trump Be Trump." The Alaska pollock industry seems delighted. "It's well documented that president-elect Trump has a particular affection for the McDonald's core menu item, the Filet-O-Fish made with sustainable U.S.-caught Wild Alaska Pollock," Craig Morris, president of the Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers (GAPP), the industry's marketing agency, told Undercurrent News. "We share that affection... Read more from Amanda Buckle https://lnkd.in/ee8Bhqgq #AlaskaPollock #FiletOFish

Luckily we get to have problems to solve..... 👎 Problem = 👍 solution = 👍 👍 solution benefits Problems aren't always a bad thing. Yes you'd rather not have them but finding solutions can often have more benefits that just solving the initial problem. Our problem - Fresh soft baked cookies when stacked together warm stick together. Our solution - Add grease proof paper between cookies to stop the cookies sticking together Additional solution benefits ➕ Additional branding ♨ Additional messaging opportunity ♨ The greaseproof can go in the microwave to warm your cookie up (they really are another level warm 😋 ) 🍪 A little table placemat to enjoy your cookie with a cup of tea So that 1 little problem seen through the customers eyes has generated a number of benefits that we might not have thought to do otherwise. Lucky old us having problems to solve! 🎉 Have you had any problem solve unexpected benefits? Sorry for the part eaten cookie. I couldn't wait. Brilliant or disturbing? The internet is losing its mind over the new Heinz adverts... The latest Halloween campaign features creepy, ketchup-smothered, Joker-like smiles. Some are calling it genius - a perfect blend of relatable product use and humour, combined seamlessly with seasonal fun. Others? They're a wee bit unsettled and confused. Whatever side you stand on, make no mistake... It's got people talking (and laughing)! And that's half the battle when trying to stand out in an overcrowded, digital world - where every brand is bidding for your attention. I think this is an absolute masterclass in modern marketing: Love it or hate it, you can't ignore it! And that's exactly what Heinz wanted. What do you think? Share your thoughts below 👇

Digital advertising is essential because it links a organization with its clients when they are on-line, & works in all sectors. It connects businesses with suitable clients when they are on Google through SEO & PAY PER CLICK, on social media sites with social networks marketing, & via email with e-mail advertising
Here are 10 of my favorite ads. 1. A clever way to promote a restaurant. 2. A funny way to show how your food is better than someone else's. 3. A great way to showcase your hours of operation. 4. A great example of how to play off an event or holiday. 5. Cool example of how one company can make your life easier. 6. A clever way to promote a crime series. 7. A smart way to showcase technology... in this case a smooth ride. 8. Great message to kids... you can accomplish anything. 9. Great play on technology... especially how everyone opens up their phone in the morning. I guess it's time to get a breakfast sandwich. 10. A cool way to show how you are better than your competition.

Just got arguably the greatest compliment of my life all thanks to Halloween candy. Like many of us, when noon pulls around, and you see that big bag of Halloween candy your kids have floating around, you snag a piece as you walk by. Well, my fellow candy addict on today's call opted for a Reese's PB cup while we were chatting about #transparencyreporting and TracedData. During our discussion, he asked, what would I say is the main differentiation of TracedData vs others. I said, simplicity and value but let me explain further. This is where it got good. I said, #transparencyreporting tools are like PB cups. They are pretty straight forward, two ingredients Transactions and Recipients (or chocolate and PB) put together with some rules (recipe) and you get a report (or a great treat). TracedData however, is like the holiday Reeses. Think pumpkins or Xmas Trees. Same ingredients but the ratio is just.... better. We focus on keeping things simple and providing full service reporting. Less unnecessary chocolate (features that look cool but no one uses) and more PB (service and expertise to make sure you are successful). He paused... smiled... and said "You must be the greatest analogy creator of all time." So, moral of the story. If you think the holiday versions of PB cups are better than the regular, than you should probably look at TracedData too. 🤣 🤣

If you’re ever bored and don’t have anything to watch, odds are there’s a Chopped marathon on Food Network. Seriously, that show and Diners, Drive-ins & Dives dominate that channel. Can we get Ina Garten back?! She’d milk a cow, turn that milk into heavy whipping cream, say, “how easy is that?” And then basically sear through your soul, with her cutting words, “but… store bought is fine…” CINEMA!! Anyways, I’m talking Chopped in this post. The premise is contestants get a basket of unknown ingredients and they have to make an appetizer, entree and dessert. They have to get creative and use what’s in front of them. As marketers, we more or less do the same. We use the tools and resources we have to create something worth consuming. It’s a reminder that we don’t need the “best” of everything to get the job done. We don’t need paid subscriptions or the most expensive software. Sure, it’d be nice. But, most times, when get creative, scrappy even, we whip up something that wows the judges (our audience). So today, open up that basket, take a look at what you have and use what’s in front of you. #morningthoughts
