Kristin Halvorsen, maybe the biggest advocate for ESG in the history of the fund, and put in place policies and guidelines on how to invest more sustainably. She also led the fund through the financial crisis in the late 2000s. Siv Jensen was in charge through seven years, where the value increased by 2 billion Norwegian kroner – every single day.
