Full Circle Moments in Software Testing: From Learner to Mentor. This past week, I had the chance to train two newbies in the world of software testing, and it took me back to when I first started. I remember diving into the testing world and writing my first test scripts—everything was new, and each challenge felt like a mountain. But every test case, every bug report, and every late night of learning brought me closer to mastering the craft. Now, training others, I’m reminded that growth isn’t just about mastering the technical skills; it is about perseverance, curiosity, and never losing that hunger to learn. Watching my trainees navigate their first tests reminded me of the patience, precision, and persistence needed in this field. To anyone starting in software testing: The learning curve is steep, but every failed test leads to deeper understanding. Keep testing, keep questioning, and keep refining—your future in QA is built on the foundation you create today. #SoftwareTesting #QA #RegressionTesting #MentorshipInTech #TestAutomation #CareerInTech #BugHunting

🌟 Week 2 Update: Diving into Software Testing! 🌟 I'm excited to share that I'm now in my second week of my Software Testing training program, and it's been an incredible learning journey so far. This week, I've delved into the fundamental concepts of testing and its various features, and I'm eager to share some insights with you all. 🔍 Key Learnings: Understanding the importance of quality assurance in the software development lifecycle. Exploring different types of testing such as functional, non-functional, unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing. Grasping the significance of test planning and the creation of effective test cases. 💡 Why This Matters: Ensuring that software products meet user expectations and function as intended is crucial. Identifying and addressing bugs early in the development process saves time and resources. A solid foundation in testing methodologies prepares me to contribute to the creation of reliable and high-quality software solutions. Thank you, The QA School and Oluwafemi Ojoko for doing this. 📚 Seeking Your Insights: For those experienced in software testing, what resources or best practices have you found most valuable? Are there any particular challenges you faced early on that you could share tips on overcoming? Thank you all for your continued support and encouragement. I am happy to announce that I successfully completed my 6 weeks Cypress Intensive Training with Ademola Bhadmus And truth be told, it was intensive. Over the past 2 months, my weekends were no longer mine to use as I desired. I didn't have the luxury of staying longer in bed on a Saturday morning or hanging out with friends after service on a Sunday afternoon. My response to every invitation was "I have a class". I started this training with little knowledge level of Cypress and ended it with a ton of it. I won't call myself an expert because there are always things to learn but things I can do now, boy, you will be surprised. The most interesting part of this training for me was Behaviour Driven Development (BDD). Automating testing using simple English sentence structures, creating custom commands for common actions and running CI/CD pipelines were the icing on the cake. A major shoutout to Ademola Bhadmus. His wealth of knowledge is impressive. I must commend him for his patience throughout the training. He met each one of us at the level we were and held our hands on the journey. He promised and he delivered. He was always available to help out with issues relating to what we did in class, our assignments or even tasks outside of the training. The personal touch sealed this for me. Whenever I reached out for help, he was quick to jump on a call with me, irrespective of what the issue was. So, if you are thinking of stepping up your automation game as a software tester, I definitely recommend him. I must state that he is not just a guru in Cypress but in many automation tools and framework. Do well to join his next training. You will be getting way more than your money's worth. Peradventure, you don't have the financial capacity, you can take advantage of his many resources on YouTube and you will not be disappointed. Here is to more trainings and learning on this career journey 🥂 #automationtraining #cypress #intensivecypresstraining #softwaretesting #qualityassurance #softwaretester
