It’s an unfortunate reality that domestic abuse happens within our country. It’s even more sad to realize that it happens so often that there are large nonprofits that take care of family members in these situations.
Safe Harbor in Greenville “provides pathways for people impacted by domestic abuse to survive and thrive, and raises awareness of domestic abuse through community engagement and education.” Their services include a 24 hour hotline, emergency shelters, transitional housing, counseling, case management, and much more.
There are quite a few ways you can get involved. You can donate in terms of money but you can also donate standard living items like kitchen or household goods, diapers and clothing for children, school supplies, and other needs. You can also volunteer to help carry out the vision of Safe Harbor.
Consider helping families be free from the constraints of abuse.

We are seeing harsh truths about the current housing crisis in Toronto and its significant impact on youth 🏠 AMDF believes that supporting charities focused on prevention, early intervention, and comprehensive wraparound support services is crucial in addressing this growing problem and helping to mitigate challenges that youth are facing.

The Prime Legacy of Global Powerhouse | Dan Murphy's | Gregory Anderson—The Empowering Influence of Empathy and Kindness in Corporate Social Responsibility: Inspiring Global Change for the Homeless
In a world where profit margins are often prioritized over compassion, an individual has emerged as a beacon of hope for the homeless population through an universal commitment to kindness and empathy. Dan Murphy, a visionary leader in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR), has not only successfully raised funds to support the homeless but has also initiated a global movement of goodwill and social transformation.
The intersection of CSR, ethical leadership, and societal impact has never been more crucial than in today's increasingly interconnected world. Murphy's actions serve as a poignant reminder of the transformative power that businesses possess in shaping a more equitable and inclusive society. By extending a helping hand to those in need, he has not only alleviated the suffering of the homeless but has also sparked a ripple effect of generosity and compassion that transcends borders and cultures.
At the core of Dan Murphy's endeavors lies a deep-seated belief in the ethical foundation of CSR – a belief that businesses have a moral obligation to make positive contributions to society and uplift those who are marginalized and vulnerable. Through his strategic framework for ethical leadership, a new standard for corporate philanthropy has been established by Dan Murphy, one that prioritizes empathy, kindness, and authentic human connection above all else.
As we navigate the complexities of a rapidly changing world, Dan Murphy's example serves as a guiding light for both businesses and individuals. His actions remind us that true leadership is not solely measured by profits but by the impact we have on the lives of others and the legacy of compassion we leave behind.
In an era characterized by uncertainty and division, let us draw inspiration from Dan Murphy's remarkable journey and commit ourselves to creating a world where kindness and empathy are paramount. Together, we can forge a future where every individual – regardless of their circumstances – is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Let’s unite and embark on a collective journey towards a more just, inclusive, and compassionate world – a world where the homeless are not forgotten but embraced with open hearts and outstretched hands.
Together, a difference can be made. Together, a brighter future for all can be created.
Join in the movement for change. Together, the world can be transformed, one act of kindness at a time.
Making a positive imprint on our planet and community
💙 Dan Murphy's National GIVIT Day - Saturday 22 June 💙
Did you know that on any given night,122,494 people in Australia are facing homelessness?
If you’re heading to a Dan Murphy’s store this Saturday, we’d love your support to help us reach our goal of $250,000 to help the homeless this winter.
You’ll see our team members donning beanies, hosting BBQs or running raffles, all in the name of lifting the bar for our community.
As always Dan Murphy’s proudly kicks off every appeal with a $100,000 donation.
The wonderful people at GIVIT.org.au do amazing work every day, channelling generosity where it’s needed to support vulnerable people and communities.
When Leena Kejriwal founded Missing Link Trust, her mission was clear—to protect young girls from the horrors of trafficking.
Today, the organization works in remote villages, educating at-risk children and their communities to prevent trafficking before it begins. Leena shares the heartbreaking story of a young girl whose parents, like many others, were deceived by agents promising jobs. Missing Link Trust is making a difference, but they can’t do it alone. Your donation can help educate and protect vulnerable children and prevent these tragedies here - https://lnkd.in/grdxEzrZ
Right now – until 12pm Thursday 22 August – EthicalJobs.com.au is matching your donations to Council of Single Mothers and their Children (CSMC).
When single mother families in crisis need support, they contact CSMC. Our support workers assist single mother families with expert support, advice, and information, when they need it the most.
With the cost-of-living hitting even average families, the children in low income families are really missing out. Single mothers are doing all they can to protect their children, but the kids still feel the hunger and the cold – and the responsibility to try and hid expenses from their mum.
CSMC provides expert specialist support, with the unique addition of having lived experience of being single mothers. They are trusted; they are experts; they are a safe place for single mothers to turn.
Funds are urgently needed for emergency relief to assist single mothers to feed their children and maintain their housing.
So please, if you are considering donating to a charity that supports families in need, now is the time to do it.

How aware are you of diaper need in our Native American communities? According to the Annie E. Casey Foundation, 30% of Native American families across the United States experience significant diaper need. In 2024, approximately 18% of families served by Babies of Homelessness had Native American household members.
When you donate to BoH, we can leverage each dollar to purchase diapers at a steep discount, so each dollar goes much further.
Please consider Babies of Homelessness for your end of year giving, for a diaper drive, or for donating diapers and formula, today. The need is now.
