Flapmax has partnered with high-performance computing (HPC) centers across Africa to launch the inaugural HPC AI Forum, starting October 10, 2024. This event aims to enhance Africa's scientific computing capabilities by bringing together researchers, industry experts, and innovators in artificial intelligence, HPC, and quantum computing The forum fosters collaboration between HPC centers and African research institutions, focusing on advancing scientific research, driving industrial innovation, and promoting open cooperation. It will address the specific needs of HPC centers in emerging regions, ensuring African research institutions have access to the latest tools and innovations. Key themes of the HPC AI Forum include sustainability through energy-efficient computing, fair and ethical use of AI, innovation in AI and quantum technologies, and skill development and community building. Participants in the HPC AI Forum will have the unique opportunity to access cutting-edge resources, including satellite-based internet hardware, Intel AI PCs with advanced Neural Processing Units, AMD HPC infrastructure, and seamless integration with Microsoft Azure for scalable cloud computing. These resources are designed to empower participants with the tools they need to drive innovation in their respective fields.
