This chart shows how the BC Government collects and spends your tax dollars. Debt matters. And this budget is further increasing it. We are currently spending $3.3bn a year on debt servicing costs. This is expected to rise to $5.7bn by 2027. How much is $3.3bn? It’s enough to build a new state of the art hospital every year, enough to cut PST to 4.7%, enough to boost social services spending by 36% or enough to eliminate both the fuel and property transfer tax (with change to spare). #bcbudget #abbotsford #abbotsfordsouth

“YOU” are your most important bill. We have to save/invest at least 10-20% of our income. If we never pay ourself first, then we will just repeat the same cycle of never having any money and not getting ahead. WHAT IS THE 50 30 20 BUDGET RULES? The 50/30/20 budget rule states that you should spend up to 50% of your after-tax income on needs and obligations that you must have or must do. The remaining half should be split between savings and debt repayment (20%) and everything else that you might want (30%).
