The Female Quotient’s Post

Jessica Campbell has made history as the first woman to work behind the bench as an assistant coach for an National Hockey League (NHL) team! 🏒✨ “I definitely understand the magnitude and importance of this moment for our game,” she shared. This isn’t just a personal milestone—it’s a step forward for women in sports everywhere. “It fuels me every day just knowing that I’m part of something way bigger than myself.”

When we meaningfully endorse women we all are winners. Women must be recognized for their vibrant and significant contributions to sports in societies throughout the world. In all areas, including sports, equal rights for women must be supported and elevated. Everywhere. Across all platforms that affect women. Jessica Campbell is an example of Canada figuring this out ten years ago. There are a few others who are ahead. Support your local community development of sports which encourage equality by providing sports for girls to participate in and compete against/with the athletes appropriate to their skills not their gender.

Love this- great news for the NHL and all the future female coaches. As a mom of 3 ice hockey players, 2 who are girls, this is so inspirational. What these young female players see, they can be.❤️

Wondering what her experience is like. Are they listening to her strategic input? Once we put women in these places, we need to support ongoing.

She did a great job with the Coachella Valley Firebirds team helping them go to the Calder Cup Finals two years in a row 👍 Congratulations are in order.

Yay. A female hockey coach. That really helps us win reproductive freedom, subsidized childcare, and all the other things women need most. Ya know, there's a great opportunity cost in giving some women's issues time and attention at the expense of others. The REAL challenges that affect the greater majority of women in this country don't get their voices heard and then we wonder why we're all still debating Roe v Wade.
