"The world no longer has a choice between force and law; if civilization is to survive, it must choose the rule of law." -- Dwight D. Eisenhower If you believe in our Constitution, you will accept the results of all of the lawful elections. Donald Trump is our President. Saying he's not speaks more to one's inability to handle truth. To ridicule people who are shaken by this truth exposes more about one's decency and hypocrisy since nearly everyone in the United States has been saying "We need to be less divided." Americans who say they are Christians, today is the day we ask for grace and offer our grace to others. All of us. Because our faith means more than an election. To gloat is to again demonstrate hypocrisy as well as emptiness in one's faith. That doesn't mean people who are pleased with the outcome shouldn't celebrate. His win means something joyful to a lot of people. To lash out at the millions of people celebrating is petty and divisive. May their joy and our apprehension remain peaceful. So begins a new season. If you supported Harris, we have work to do over the next 4 years. Raise issues, don't tear down people. Be strategic, not reactive. And by all means, stay true to the anti-violence she still upholds. I remain faithful to the rule of law. The law got us through before, I pray the checks and balances work to keep our government stable. Donald Trump is our new and duly elected President of the United States. The people spoke. #prayforpeace
