I’m still learning, and there’s always more to learn........... Yesterday, a new client asked me what sets me apart from other recruiters, and I wasn't quite ready for the question. I did my best to answer in the moment, but after thinking it over, here's what I really wanted to say: My reputation means everything to me. I approach every interaction with candidates and clients with the utmost care and respect. It’s not just about what I say, it’s often about how I make people feel. I’m passionate about recruitment and committed to doing things the right way. My recruitment career has fast-tracked because of my dedication and drive. I’m willing to work harder than most, and I understand that successful recruitment is all about delivering results. I've gained extensive experience with various ATS systems, and I've noticed a trend worth sharing. None of these systems reject a candidate before a recruiter or hiring manager reviews the application. While some may score, star, or flag applications, none that I know of eliminate them before a human considers them. Over the years, there has been a concerted effort to eliminate applicants who do not meet minimum requirements, such as a valid driver's license or work authorization in the US (depending on the company's ability to sponsor). This may also include required certifications or experience in a specific field. These requirements can be crucial, particularly in fields like medicine or machine operation. It's essential to remember that opportunities abound, but they can get lost in the shuffle of scrutiny and fear, judgments, and opinions. Rewrote with AI but still my words and thoughts.
