If you’re worried about not having secured an apprenticeship…my simple advice to you is don’t be! 💪 I was forced into a gap year when my a-level results 📜 didn’t meet PwC’s entry requirements. I took a year out, improved my grades, developed my soft skills, and secured a better apprenticeship offer at the NAO 🏢 the following year. Moral of the story is don’t fixate on the rejection 📉, keep it moving, and focus on the solution. 📈 What is meant for you, will reach you even it is beneath two mountains. 🏔 🏔 What is not meant for you, won't reach you even if it is between your two lips. #apprenticeships #rejection #careers #alevels #btec

Ey have now released their degree apprenticeships. Last year I got my offer from EY so let me help you get yours. (No you don’t have to DM me anything.) A lot of people say to learn about the company you’re applying for but no one really says how or to what extent. A misconception is that all you need to do is learn about the role and read the “about us”. It’s important to still do that but to set yourself apart I recommend you go way above and beyond. One simple way of doing this is by finding those 100+ page reports and reading them.📖 And keep reading them till you have a portfolio of points which you can then use to enforce the points you make for either being a good candidate or why you decided to apply. For example: I believe I’m a good fit for “company” because after reading “ABC report” I noted how “name” who is the “position” said “quote” and this is something I really resonate with “why and example”. If you’re not applying for the Big 4 you can still very much use that frame work.🙌 Let me know if this is something you’re considering using.🤝 #degreeapprenticeships #EY #application

Want to secure a Degree Apprenticeship? 🚀⭐️ Application season for degree apprenticeships is now underway, and this time last year, I was sat behind my desk feeling the pressure of balancing 20+ applications with my sixth form studies. Having recently started my apprenticeship at KPMG UK, many aspiring apprentices in various industries have reached out asking for tips to succeed during this stressful period. 🤔 This being said, I've decided to share 3 important things that I've learnt along the way, which I strongly believe will give you the best possible chance to progress with applications - and ultimately land that offer: ✅ Get in there early! Degree apprenticeships have become more and more competitive every year, with an acceptance rate of less than 5% in 2024. Applying as soon as firms release new opportunities will give your application a much higher chance of being seen first, thus progressing faster. ✅ Research the company and role well! Each firm will have a distinct set of values - how do they resonate with you personally? Many companies also post on Linkedin, a way to gain valuable insights into the role you've applied to that you may not find on their career website. Mention these in applications/video interviews to set yourself apart from other candidates! ✅ Lastly, having work experience/attending insight events in the field you are applying to can help you to gain transferable skills, boost your CV, and help you stand out as someone with a genuine interest in the role. However, it is not essential - many transferable skills can also be gained through academics, volunteering or hobbies, all which companies find valuable as an apprentice. (It also gives you something to talk about aside from grades!👀) To anybody feeling stuck, or unsure of where to start with applications, don't hesistate to reach out. The process is not an easy one, but you are definitely not alone! 🥊 "For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future" - Jeremiah 29:11 #Degreeapprenticeship #applicationseason #apprenticeshiptips

We're committed to supporting our colleagues continuous learning and development and have a range of opportunities that can help our employees reach their full potential! We offer workshops, formal courses, coaching and Talent Development and Management Development programmes. We can also offer our employees apprenticeship opportunities at different points in their career journey. Wing-See, our Head of Internal Audit, recently completed a level 7 Master of Business Administration (MBA) apprenticeship. She said, "Completing an apprenticeship isn't something you do once and forget about it once you've finished. Gaining the qualification has made me realise that I have so much more to give in my role. Post-apprenticeship I have developed the vision and strategy for my team and I know I have the tools to achieve it. "Balancing work, study and family - not to mention throwing covid into the mix too - made it hard, but I built up a high level of resilience. I often look back at what I achieved in that time and it gives me the self belief that I can get through though times!” #LearningAtWorkWeek #LearningAndDevelopment #Apprenticeship

Feeling the mix of emotions today? Today has been an emotional rollercoaster that many parents of a certain age will understand. Supporting your child through the GCSE process and the overwhelming pressure placed on them for a positive result is no simple task! I was a bundle of nerves waiting this morning. Whilst I’m over the moon for my daughter's results. I wanted to remind those who need to hear it, that today’s results are just a snapshot of your child’s journey. It’s what they do next with those results that will be most important. And as parents, we play an important part in supporting and encourage them on their journey. There are countless paths to success, and a good GCSE result can help, but it doesn’t define what you will achieve. At Close Brothers Premium Finance, we believe in supporting individuals at all stages of their careers. We have apprenticeship programs, internships and graduate schemes for those looking to explore alternative routes into the workplace. So, whether you’re celebrating or perhaps today didn’t bring the results you’d been hoping for, remind your child that their future is bright, and they CAN do great things. Let’s continue to support each other and celebrate the resilience and potential of our young people. #GCSEResults #FutureIsBright #Apprenticeships #Education #Support
