🔄 Why Research Informs Practice, and Practice Informs Research 🔍 In any field, research and practice are two sides of the same coin. One empowers the other, creating a cycle of innovation and improvement: 🧠 Research Informs Practice: - Research provides evidence-based insights, guiding professionals to make informed decisions. - It helps develop new methods, refine strategies, and stay ahead of trends. 💡 Practice Informs Research: - Real-world experiences highlight gaps and challenges, inspiring new areas of study. - Practical feedback ensures research remains relevant and actionable. At the International Journal of Strategic Management and Innovation (IJSMI), we welcome submissions driven by strong theory, practice, or both. Our aim is to bridge the gap between research and real-world applications, fostering meaningful advancements in management, innovation and entrepreneurship. If you’re passionate about this topic, IJSMI is part of IGI Global who have made more content to explore "Why Research-Based Content is Valuable for Industry Practitioners and Professionals": https://lnkd.in/dcNjWtRP Join the conversation! https://lnkd.in/duDckKgu #Research #Practice #ContinuousLearning #Innovation #IJSMI #IGIGlobal #ProfessionalDevelopment UCL Erhvervsakademi og Professionshøjskole #AnvendtErhvervsforskning

If you are doing #practitioneroriented #informationsystems research, the program chairs for ICIS – The International Conference on Information Systems would like to invite you to submit your very best work. The Practitioner Oriented Research Track will be run by Isabel Ramos (Universidade do Minho), Iris Junglas (College of Charleston), & James Denford (Royal Military College of Canada/Collège militaire royal du Canada). Practice-oriented research bridges academic theory & practice, introduces researchers to state-of-the-art techniques & topics from industry, presents managers with useful research, & brings coherence to the problems both face. Contributions from practice-oriented research should focus on essential & unique lessons & implementable & evidence-based recommendations. This track invites authors, academics & practitioners to submit credible research that provides rich stories, unique insights, & useful conceptual frameworks for information systems practice. The target audience for papers includes both practitioners & researchers, with a primary focus on research that is immediately relevant & useful for practice. Researchers can base their papers on single or multiple cases, field interviews, field experiments, action research, and/or descriptive surveys coupled with in-depth cases. They seek papers that focus on pressing problems or opportunities directly relevant to practitioners in the IS field. Authors must demonstrate the research’s potential to make a positive impact on real-world practice, discussing how results can be applied by digital leaders to solve the problem or take advantage of the opportunity. The last section of the paper must be at least one page in length with a list of concrete, actionable recommendations for practice, grounded in the findings. This section should explain why the authors’ recommendations will be compelling for current & future digital leaders. The Editor-in-Chief of MISQ Executive (MISQE) may offer selected accepted papers a fast-track review, development, & publication process at MISQE. Topics of interest include: * Showcase high-quality practitioner-oriented IS research & thought leadership * Promote practitioner-oriented IS research as a critical source of insight & guidance for digital leaders * Provide researchers a platform to present & discuss their practitioner-oriented IS research findings & expose the community to challenges in creating value with IT * Help identify the most challenging managerial issues for digital/IT leaders & frame them as new questions that could guide future practitioner-oriented IS research * Explore innovative ideas & perspectives, firmly rooted in evidence gathered through robust data collection methods & meticulous analysis, compelling practitioners to reconsider current methodologies and practices. I’m thrilled to share that I have successfully completed the 'Market Research' Specialization, offered by the University of California, Davis. This four-part series was a comprehensive dive into market research, covering the end-to-end process of managing a research project within an organization. Throughout the course, I built skills critical for every stage of a market research project, starting from developing a robust research proposal and identifying clear objectives and target audiences. The first module introduced me to the foundations of research initiation and proposal development, giving me the tools to articulate the goals and scope of a research project. The subsequent modules on qualitative and quantitative research sharpened my analytical skills and familiarized me with diverse methods for data gathering and analysis, including stakeholder interviews, surveys, and statistical data analysis. These learnings culminated in the final module on delivering research insights, where I practiced presenting clear, data-driven recommendations that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders. Completing this specialization has expanded my understanding of how to translate complex data into actionable insights, how to manage supplier relationships, and the importance of aligning research outcomes with organizational objectives. As I apply these skills in future projects, I am eager to deepen my knowledge with advanced techniques in market research and look forward to the impact this specialization will have on my professional journey. This specialization is highly recommended for those looking to gain practical, end-to-end knowledge of market research, especially beginners looking to make a meaningful impact in data-driven decision-making! #onlinelearning #marketresearch #datamanagement
