Try exploring the past few years of J, K, and L pod occurrence data by selecting the "Southern Resident Orca" tab of this dashboard we have been testing!
Happy Earth Day! Here's a new #salishsea dashboard that mashes up open orca and salmon data the same way Southern Resident Killer Whales mash up Chinook #salmon from the Fraser and Columbia rivers. https://lnkd.in/gHYxZsZK Congrats to volunteer @liuzoe for winning the *2023 Best Visualization of Ecosytem Data* across all projects of the Orcasound open source community! Day 13 - A new tool #30DayMapChallenge Both the availability of diverse data and the countless ways to visualize it never cease to amaze me. Here, I present data on 666,134 trees along NYC streets, recorded in 2016 by NYC Parks & Recreation and partner organizations. The map was created using Kepler.gl, a tool I had never used before. The points representing the trees have been grouped into hexagons to facilitate the analysis and interpretation of this large data set.

Hello Connection, I am thrilled to announce, I've developed a machine learning-based project focused on rainfall prediction. By harnessing historical weather data and advanced algorithms, my project forecasts future rainfall patterns with precision. This predictive tool not only aids in proactive planning for agriculture, water resource management, and disaster preparedness but also showcases the transformative potential of machine learning in addressing critical environmental challenges. 🦆 Excited to share that I will be speaking at DuckDB's DuckCon 5 in Seattle on August 15th! Sign up and see the full schedule in the comments! Expand the post for more info on the talk... 😊 In the past year and a half, I've seen DuckDB become a fundamentally game-changing technology for geospatial. The sheer amount of amazing projects using DuckDB for Geospatial has blown my mind, and the ease of use to get started has made it easy to adopt for many users. Even Overture Maps Foundation uses it as a recommended tool to access their data. 🌍 My goals for this talk are to showcase some of the amazing things that the geospatial space has done with DuckDB for the broader DuckDB community and also discuss some of the different features that would help make it even more accessible in the future. 🫵🏼 If you have a project using DuckDB, please share it with me. Or if there's a feature that you are curious about, definitely make sure to ask in the comments. #gis #moderngis #spatialanalytics #spatialsql #duckdb #duckcon5 #seattle #geospatial

Other databases force you to twist and contort, and compromise your data model, shoe-horning it around the failings of the database. Fauna's document-relational model instead conforms to your data model. What an idea!
How to do one-to-one and one-to-many relationships in Fauna

🌲 On this International Day of Forests, the Chloris team takes a moment to reflect on the inspiration drawn from forests and what motivates us to give back every day. This year's theme, "Forests and Innovation: New Solutions for a Better World," deeply resonates with our work at Chloris. We integrate our scientific background with expertise in forest ecology, remote sensing, machine learning, software development, and business sustainability. We translate our personal passion and integrity into our product: transparent, scientifically validated forest carbon data. Our product brings transparency, speed, and scale to the market to support restoration projects and accelerate the transition to a nature-positive future. As we celebrate our forests today, we remain focused on our why. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬? #ForestDay #IntlForestDay #GenerationRestoration
