I am thrilled to share my experience as an ICANN81 Fellow who also attend the forum held from November 9 to 14 th, 2024, in Istanbul, Türkiye. This incredible opportunity allowed me to delve deeply into the multifaceted operations of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and its pivotal role in global Internet governance. Throughout the program, I engaged with various ICANN working groups, each dedicated to specific aspects of the Internet's infrastructure and policy development. These groups, comprising experts and stakeholders from around the world, collaborate to ensure the stability, security, and unified functionality of the Domain Name System (DNS). The fellowship also provided invaluable mentorship, connecting me with seasoned professionals who offered guidance and insights into ICANN's processes and the broader landscape of Internet governance. Their expertise was instrumental in enhancing my understanding of the complex dynamics involved in policy-making and technical coordination within the global Internet community. Participating in ICANN81 not only expanded my knowledge but also empowered me to contribute more effectively to discussions on Internet governance. I am eager to apply these insights in future endeavors, advocating for an open, inclusive, and secure Internet for all. I would like to thank Siranush Vardanyan the fellowship manager and my Mentor Abdul kareem for their guidance and unwavering support in this journey. The fellowship also provided me the opportunity to connect with other fellow participants from different countries and backgrounds.
