Saudi Arabia, known for its abundant sunlight, is increasingly turning to solar energy to diversify its energy sources and reduce its reliance on oil. In recent years, startups in the country have been leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the efficiency and adoption of solar energy. One example of a Saudi startup using AI to boost the efficiency of solar energy is NOMADD Desert Solar Solutions. NOMADD has developed a robotic solar panel cleaning system that uses AI to optimize the cleaning process. By analyzing data on factors such as weather conditions, dust levels, and energy production, the system can determine the most efficient times to clean the solar panels, maximizing their output. Another startup, Rawabi Tech, is using AI to improve the design and installation of solar energy systems. By analyzing satellite imagery and other data, Rawabi Tech can accurately assess the solar potential of different locations and optimize the layout of solar panels for maximum efficiency. This not only increases the energy output of the systems but also reduces costs for customers. Overall, the integration of AI into the solar energy sector in Saudi Arabia is helping to drive innovation, improve efficiency, and accelerate the adoption of renewable energy sources in the country. In the not-too-distant future, ships will set sail from NEOM transporting enough carbon-free hydrogen in the form of green ammonia to power approximately 22,000 trucks annually! 🌍 The NEOM Green Hydrogen Company project is set to become the world’s largest green hydrogen facility. ☀️ NEOM will lead the global energy transition. Powered by 100% renewable energy, we are also harnessing our abundant sun and wind resources to export clean energy to the world in the form of green hydrogen/ammonia. 🌿 Once completed, the NEOM Green Hydrogen project will mitigate the impact of 5 million tonnes of CO2 annually, revolutionizing emission-intensive transportation and industrial sectors globally. 💡 The project represents a landmark USD 8.4 billion joint venture partnership among ACWA Power, Air Products, and NEOM, combining innovation, operational efficiency, and unparalleled expertise. 🏗️ The project's scale is immense, with approximately 15,000 dedicated construction workers already involved.
