How can Danish manufacturing companies keep pace with global competition? According to Professor Henrik Petersen from the The Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute at SDU, the answer is clear: We need to rethink robot safety and allow robots to work more closely with humans. "Robots must break out of their cages for Danish manufacturing companies to maintain competitive production. The Chinese are not waiting for anyone," says Henrik Gordon Petersen, who leads the 'Agile Production Systems' initiative in MADE FAST project. The production cluster MADE has just published an article on robot safety, where they delve into how new safety solutions can enable robots and humans to collaborate more effectively—without compromising safety.
