How do you scale an optometry practice without burning out? Most practitioners struggle with this balance. Here's a strategy that transformed my own practice and could help yours too. 🔍 **Delegation is Key** By hiring skilled associates and leveraging technology, you can delegate routine tasks. This allows you to focus on patient care and strategic growth. 📈 **Invest in Staff Development** Building a strong, knowledgeable team pays off. Continued education and training mean your staff can handle more responsibilities, and you'll see improved patient satisfaction. 🚀 **Implement Passive Income Streams** Diversify your income by investing in real estate or other passive ventures. This financial cushion provides stability and additional resources for reinvesting in your practice. Balance doesn't come easy, but these strategies make it possible. How are you working towards scaling your practice while maintaining quality of life? 👇 Drop your thoughts below! Are there other ways you've managed to find balance? Let's inspire each other!

One of our clients did something truly momentous - she took the day off to spend time with her mum 🎉 While they were out enjoying the city, her clinic was running smoothly without them - two pods, two rooms, and revenue rolling in 💸 Here’s why this is HUGE: ✅ It’s the first time ever she's earned from both treatment rooms without being in the clinic. ✅ Their new graduate podiatrist (just 3 weeks in!) felt confident and supported enough to work independently. ✅ It’s a sign that the systems and changes they’ve been implementing are WORKING. This is what our goal is for you - building a practice that gives you freedom AND success. This is your reminder: progress happens step by step. Celebrate those wins, big or small 🥂 Want to build a practice that runs like clockwork - even when you’re not there? Only 30% of hearing professionals in the US perform real ear measurement routinely. But here's what's worse: REMs are just the start. Under 10% of professionals in the United States follow COMPREHENSIVE best practices. This means 90% of patients aren't receiving the best possible care. But here's the opportunity. What if: ➞ you could CLEARLY differentiate from 90% of your competition? ➞ you KNEW that EVERY patient was getting their best possible outcomes? ➞ you could charge more and drop low-reimbursement contracts because you're ACTUALLY the best? I advocate for best practice care because I saw the impact it had in my practice first hand. If you're a practice owner, not only does it lead to significantly better patient outcomes, it leads directly to business growth as well. _______ Want to stand out and stand proud, knowing you're the best hearing solution in your market? This summer, I'm partnering with Cliff Olson to launch a new and (we believe) very important live coaching and training program: "The Business of Best Practices". We'll make it easy to implement your own "Market of One" Best Practice Program so you can you SAVE time, operate MORE efficiently, and generate MORE revenue in your practice. In fact, we'll show you how to pay for any new equipment you need to get started in under 90 days using our exclusive "Hearing Upgrade Database Program". We're taking 20 practices in our first cohort this summer - message me "details" to learn more. _______ PS - Curious what I mean when I say "Comprehensive Best Practices?" We've put together a checklist that lists all 56 of them, from consultation, to fitting, to long-term care. If you'd a copy reply "checklist" below and I'll send it over!

Bright Vision Optometry underwent an expansion 1 year ago. Reflecting on this journey, here are 3 lessons I learned along the way: 1. Maintaining cash flow is vital for a small business. With our expansion, the cost of doing business exponentially increased. The months immediately after our expansion was stressful to say the least. Having a rainy day fund was our savior. 2. Don’t forget who you serve. After our expansion, I had a feeling of “LOOK AT ME, I MADE IT”. Then I realized it’s not about me. It’s about our practice, our patients and our team. The healthy synergy between our practice, our team and our patients is what created this opportunity. Keep your head down, put in the work and stay humble. 3. Maintain your balance. After our expansion, I went into 24/7 work mode and threw away the keys to the off switch. I was detached at home, often thinking about my to do list rather than my family. I lived an unhealthy lifestyle filled with binge stress eating and caffeine consumption. I did not work out or see my friends. Mentally, I felt lonely, stressed and not myself. Don’t let your business control your life. Here’s a video of our private practice a few days after the completion of our expansion. #optometry #privatepractice #smallbusiness

Optometry and the Pumpkin Plan If you want to differentiate your optometry practice, I think you'll find The Pumpkin Plan a very thought provoking read. The title is a metaphor of growing a giant pumpkin, emphasizing the importance of cutting off smaller, less productive pumpkins—paralleling the need for businesses to focus on high-value clients. The conversation highlights the significance of aligning with clients who resonate with your business practices and contribute meaningfully to revenue growth. Treatment Planning Coordinator: 6 Step Process Step 1: The Formula for Building Rapport 🌟 Forget scripts and one-size-fits-all approaches! At GnA Consult, we believe in coaching our clients to guide patients through their dental journey with a human touch. Building Rapport is key, and here's how our treatment coordinators create an instant connection: 🤝Mirroring Body Language: Our team subtly reflects the patient's posture and gestures. This nonverbal cue builds trust and shows we're on the same page. 👂Active Listening: We give patients our full attention. Nods, eye contact, and thoughtful responses demonstrate that their voice matters. 💬Genuine Interest: We go beyond the surface level. By asking insightful questions and showing real curiosity about their experiences, we build a strong foundation for a positive relationship. These simple actions have a powerful impact! They can transform the quality of ALL your interactions, whether with patients, colleagues, or anyone you meet. 💼 #DentalJourney #RapportBuilding #HumanTouch 🦷
