When a teacher can creatively design a lesson that helps students to see themselves in the science phenomenon, they have uncovered a jewel! By using metaphors student can draw a clear pathway to identifying their greatest strengths. This approach blends science and social-emotional learning, teaching students to navigate life's terrain effectively through scientific concepts.

Hey science teachers! 🧪🔬 Ready to put your students to the test? 🤔 Mark your calendars because the Big Science Competition is back! This year you can sit the Big Science Competition between Monday 6 May to Friday 17 May, 2024. That means your school can run the competition at any time within those dates that suit your timetable. How convenient is that! To make it even easier, different year groups may sit the Big Science Competition on different days. We do ask that all students sitting at the same level do so on the same day, under exam conditions to maintain the integrity of the competition. Please note that for the BSC we also accept students who are homeschooled, or who sit the competition through a tutoring or education academy. Registrations now open, find all the details here: https://lnkd.in/gWN7V8pC P.S. Have you heard about the prize pools for this year? Cool stuff! #BigScienceCompetition
