Today is about democracy and fundamental rights not only in Hungary and in the #EU but also, by extension, in its immediate neighbourhood, especially in Eastern Europe and Western Balkans. This is more so important in the global context of rising authoritarianism and attempts to use people's identities and equality rights to exclude and spread hate and polarisation for political gains. At Araminta, we support activists and organisations bringing societies together and countering such attempts to exclude and deny human rights. By protecting those under attack, we protect ourselves and our own freedoms!
