As an employer you might want to make changes. But your employees might not be so ready to jump on board. In broaching the idea, the keywords to remember are Transparency and Communication... Are the changes contractual or are they a change in policy? 👉 Policy changes - may be implemented without the need to obtain agreement from your employees. 👉 Contractual changes - requires agreement in order to implement the change. There are a number of ways to achieve change: 🔵 Consult with the employees concerned or with employee reps. 🔵 Explain the proposed changes. 🔵 Discuss the reasons behind the change. 🔵 Explain what will happen if the changes do not occur. 🔵 Give employees the opportunity to raise their concerns and put forward their suggestions.
