Took a much-needed break from job hunting today. It's a job in itself! To date I have sent out 251 applications (desperate much 😅). Remember taking time to recharge is essential during this process. Rejections and ghosting can really make you doubt yourself and you'll end up considering "creative ways" to make ends meet (don't do it). But staying positive and focused is crucial. Three reminders from the first earnest week of job hunting in more than ten years: Highs and lows can come thick and fast. Remember that no feeling (good or bad) is permanent. Invest yourself fully in what you're doing, but don't make it your whole identity. The people in your corner really do want to help, they will if they can, and they only know if you ask.
