Been trying to parse the BIG topic of AI for Service down into something more "bite-sized" and consumable for a while now. In that vein, really loved seeing this video, especially two major insights at the end---1. get your data ducks in a row--data is the fuel for the AI Rocketship 2. Start with turnkey solutions (i.e. get some "points on the board") before jumping "all-in" to a larger Ai Transformation project. Really great, practical advice to empower service teams not to "fear Ai," but rather--to just get going and iterate along the way!

Great session yesterday. 3 thought provoking moments for me.... 1️⃣ Ai workshops. Running value workshops with clients and prospects on AI capabilities. Sometimes it can be tough to get folks to come to the table to participate in a value workshop, but with how new AI is, there is a great chance you customer is going to want to see how you think about AI and discuss the value, as they’re most likely trying to figure it out for their own AI solutions. Great opportunity to use that addt’l incentive to engage and collaborate 2️⃣ Managing stakeholders as you build out value frameworks/value messaging and drive buy-in across the organization. This kind of dovetailed into generating support for the value program (especially when you might not have a strong Exec mandate). Couple interesting ideas here outside the usual (tying into strat objectives, highlight KPI impact, etc) ✅ really engage and lean in with your enablement team. Embed it into the current sales enablement content/programs that already exists (and onboarding) instead of having value as separate enablement ✅ embed into new product launches AND strategic partnership initiatives ✅ bring more than just revenue attribution to the discussion with sales. If you’re able to glean insights on things like what key personas in specific industries care about, what outcomes they are focused on driving, etc and share that type of intel with sales it’s a great way to get them to want to lean in and leverage value more to 1) get more wins, and 2) continue to get more insights 3️⃣ Blend of digital and human interaction. I’m going to paraphrase from a few Gartner studies. 1) 75% of b2b buyers prefer a digital experience. 2) buyers who make a digital self-service purchase are 1.65 times more likely to regret a purchase than traditional, rep-led buyers. 3) b2b buyers are 1.8 times more likely to complete a high-quality deal when they engage with supplier-provided digital tools in partnership with a sales rep. In short, people want rep-free but it’s better for customers and vendors when a rep is involved. So how do you maximize that multi-channel experience? ✅ Getting creative around key moments that matter as they align to the buying journey (hint: it can be more than a “tool” or a virtual demo). There was a great example shared about how a CS team is automating digital monthly reviews. It drives standardization and leads well into human lead QBRs Whether it’s teaching about the problem through collaborative discovery or digitally collaborating on a mutual success plan that highlights key milestones and tracks if you’re on plan or not, we've spent a lot of time making sure Eco can support that last one.
