As a Research Administrators, we are very good at telling stories. Granted.. most may be horrifying or illegal but our stories usually end in us saving the day. Helping a PI figure out a process, explaining an important feature of the eRA system to someone and seeing them get it. Our stories are even more powerful when you truly understand that what we do is advance science and scholarship every day. Be your own leader and make time to tell a story. Today, she shared her wisdom with the Small Business Association of Michigan in a Minicourse called 'Is it time for a Communication Makeover.'   🎁 A few takeaways for this small business owner concerning marketing communications included: 1. People are not likely to read marketing materials. Use short-form video and images instead. 2. Take pictures everywhere you go. You never know when they might come in handy. 3.
