GOOD NEWS 🗞 on the hiring front for the remainder of 2024! 🎉 🤝 🙌 Hiring Outlook for 2024 As we at Grey Staffing continue to support our clients and candidates in navigating the ever-evolving job market, it's important to stay informed about current hiring trends. The outlook for U.S. hiring during the rest of 2024 remains positive, though budget constraints are influencing some companies' growth plans. Here’s a brief overview of the latest findings. A recent survey by Express Employment Professionals and Harris Poll indicates that 81% of U.S. hiring managers are optimistic about their company's hiring prospects for the remainder of the year. This optimism is largely driven by an increase in workload (50%) and the need to fill new positions (44%). Despite the positive outlook, more than half of the hiring managers (60%) expect to increase their workforce, though only 15% plan to make significant hires. Industries like healthcare, social assistance, and leisure and hospitality continue to show robust hiring trends. Conversely, around 32% of companies plan to maintain their current headcount, while 6% foresee a reduction in employees. Among those not planning to expand, budgetary constraints are a primary reason (33%), followed by a perceived lack of need for additional staff (30%) and a wait-and-see approach to workload stabilization (22%).
