'ULEZ isn't driving EV sales' Was ULEZ designed to 'drive' EV sales? Or were increased EV sales a possible side-effect of ULEZ? It's all about 'cleaning' the air. With the government's current policy of allowing certain fossil-fuel vehicles to enter ULEZ without paying, driving EV sales would never have been the outcome. People who had non-compliant cars would either not come into London with them or they would buy a compliant (fossil fuel) car. Especially considering the report released yesterday about the woeful lack of knowledge petrol car drivers had about EVs. The four points listed in the attached graphic are good examples of what the government could do to increase EV sales. Once that has happened make the ULEZ zone EV only. THEN you'll see the sales skyrocket.
