In a LinkedIn Live I did a few weeks ago with Karel Mergl of NCWEBDEV, we talked about the increasing trend of one-page websites, which is websites with a homepage only That got us talking about another trend: 𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐳𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐞-𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐞𝐛𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬. These are pages with no top or bottom navigation options, and which are designed to drive visitors toward taking one action, such as a product purchase or event signup If you're thinking about moving in the direction of hosting and maintaining only one squeeze page for your entire company-owned web presence, in this clip I talk about the pages, and marketing opportunities, you'd miss out on These include not having a dedicated FAQ page — which is pretty easy to get Google and other search engines to index and show below your homepage in the first organic result section for your website. And if you have no About page, you won't have this URL to share in, and after, networking events to give attendees more of a sense about what you offer and to whom — without jumping immediately to your sell call to action like you would with a squeeze page URL only What do you think about one-page websites? Do you use one that's worked well for you? - 💁♂️ Hi, I'm Mark. I help small businesses identify and warm up leads through smart virtual networking, and improve their website conversion tracking. Forums: Do you need more traffic to your website or blog? If you do, then you might need to consider an often neglected side of web site promotion named forum marketing. A good number of websites make use of forums to provide the element of response from user to owner and vice versa.

Traffic to your website is hard to win…and really easy to lose. Why are you helping them to leave? Well, you got them there. Well done. But before you start gloating…think about this… If you put 6 social media icons in ‘easy-to-click’ places…you’re encouraging that hard-won visitor to leave. 🙄 Why did you think that was a good idea? Probably the same reason you had such a generic (dare I say ‘meaningless’) headline. When they get there… you need to re-assure them: ‘relax, you’re in the right place’ Most headlines are so generic… the poor old website visitor is totally confused about whether they are in the right place or not. I know YOU think your website is really cool but…have you ever wondered why it’s not doing the job you intended it to do? I made $200k a year from a single website…and I only knew half what I know now. I can save you about 5 years worth of learning…for what you’d spend on a slap-up family meal. Try me. Follow me if you must but…I might make your head explode. #prospecting #marketing #sales
