ACCOUNTABILITY POST - Week 73 This week, I want to give a huge shoutout to my brother, Carlos Vazquez. I’m incredibly proud of the work he’s doing and the impact he’s making. As Vice Chair of Miami EdTech, I’ve had the privilege of watching his dedication and hard work up close, and it's been nothing short of inspiring. 💪🏽 We’re celebrating a major win with Miami EdTech receiving a $250,000 grant from the ECMC Foundation to expand their apprenticeship programs. This grant is a testament to the relentless efforts of Carlos and the entire Miami EdTech team to create pathways for underrepresented communities in the tech space. These apprenticeship programs are more than just training opportunities; they are lifelines for individuals looking to break into tech, providing them with the skills, mentorship, and support they need to succeed. It’s about creating equitable access to tech education and ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background, has a chance to thrive. Carlos, your leadership and commitment to this cause are making a real difference, and I’m honored to be part of this journey with you. Let’s keep pushing the boundaries and making tech accessible for all! 🚀 #Accountability #MiamiEdTech #TechEducation #Apprenticeships #EquityInTech #Leadership #GrantFunding #Impact

4moNo idea how I missed Carlos’s post, glad you mentioned it. One thing I would add is that apprenticeship isn’t only about tech! Maybe the grant is for tech (idk) but GoSprout.app is impacting a bunch of different industries. TBH I see apprenticeship as the post-industrialization default means of education. A return to renaissance enlightenment. The modern world, where assembly lines are mostly automated, doesn’t have as much of a need for assembly line education. Apprenticeship is the answer.
