Came across this article today written by Drew Lord and it is worth a quick (3 minute) read if you work for a tech company. It is concise and to the point and I think it does an excellent job encapsulating the current shift in market demand from outsourcing to Nearshoring. If your company is interested in exploring Nearshoring for the first time, happy to be a resource and have an open conversation around the pros/cons of making a strategy change. https://lnkd.in/eWNSQVpx

I just got back from Austin and met some great people. Most were quite familiar with nearshoring/offshoring, but a couple patterns emerged in my conversations. 1. There's a talent shortage for certain roles domestically, but a surplus in other areas. For those who might be trying to hire talent that they haven't been able to find, consider going international. 2. Remote work has faced some resistance, but the more innovative companies still embrace this. I'm curious to see how this evolves over the next year. 3. The majority of companies had tried offshore, but often struggled with cultural and time zone compatibility. Some are shifting to nearshore, some cancelled it completely, and some are beginning to explore. For those who I met, where are you all on this spectrum at this time? Oh ya, tacos in Austin are awesome.

What you think is THE MOST important in remote work is WRONG. Here's why... In many cases, employers try to find the budget fit, And it's right. Price is VERY important, But if it is your main priority, Failure is pretty close. But as an employer myself I guarantee you that: → Prioritizing the right mindset first will pay off → Prioritizing budget first, WON'T. Only a team that's aligned with your vision can drive your mission forward. #outsourcing #offshoring #nearshoring #remoteteams #outstaffing

CEOs juggle a lot, from driving growth and overseeing daily operations to building client relationships. Scaling up the team can add extra stress, especially with the time-consuming process of hiring, onboarding, and training new employees. That's where a remote staffing company comes in—they handle the heavy lifting by recruiting, vetting, and placing skilled candidates, all while keeping costs manageable. This frees up your time and energy so you can focus on the big-picture goals that really move your business forward. Due to frequent layoffs in large companies, many young talents are now focusing on starting their own businesses. Economists believe that entrepreneurship can stimulate the economy, which is why many governments offer support to start-ups in the form of loans and tax breaks. https://lnkd.in/gRA6rris #Employeeretention #Remoteworking #HRMsystem #EmployeeTurnover #Productivity

RTO efforts by tech companies seem to be part of a broader "trim before growth" approach, alongside hiring freezes and layoffs. During the pandemic, we saw irrational hiring and remote work shifts due to cheap money and stimulus. Now, companies are correcting—cutting back to prepare for the next growth cycle and setting "in office" expectations now while the job market is in their favor. It's always easier to loosen up in the future, so it makes sense to tighten down while it's possible. For markets like Austin, this is good. With cheaper costs and great quality of life, Central Texas remains a "value market." Employers can offer lower salaries here while still attracting top talent. As RTO ramps up, companies will reassess where they get the most bang for their buck, and we’re well-positioned for that. Rate cuts and post-election stability could kick off growth soon. We're teed up for success. 🤞 https://lnkd.in/gNVBjthM #austinrealestate #austinrealestateagent #austinrealestateagents #austinrealtor #austinrealtors #realestate #realestateagent #realestatelife #realestateagents #realtor #realtors #realestateinvesting #realestatebroker #teamleaders #realestateteams
