Today, we signed an Administrative Arrangement with Singapore’s Ministry of Digital Development and Information to begin cooperation between the 🇪🇺 AI Office and the 🇸🇬 AI Safety Institute. We agreed to focus on the safety of general-purpose AI models, such as those used in chatbots, by: 🛠️ developing tools and benchmarks; 📏 carrying out standardisation activities; 🤖 researching how to advance safe and trustworthy AI. We also agreed to exchange views on AI trends and future technological developments, with the potential for further collaboration. AI shall work for us, in line with our values.
