On 26 January 2024, the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) has introduced the new Low Carbon Energy Generation Programme ("LCEGP") as one of the Government's initiatives in achieving the goals outlined in National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR). The LCEGP is available to power generation projects that utilise low-carbon power generation such as small hydro, biogas, biomass and hydrogen. Such projects will have to be registered under the New Enhanced Dispatch Arrangement ("NEDA") mechanism. We will explore new LCEGP further in this Client Update. Authored by Siaw Wan Lim and Chor Jack 曹杰. This Client Update was published on March 2024, and can be viewed at the link below: https://lnkd.in/g9Jzc8XG Lim Siaw Wan's Profile: https://lnkd.in/gWHnbCpy Chor Jack's Profile: https://lnkd.in/gYw5K-_e #ChristopherLeeOng #CLO #Malaysia #LawyersWhoKnowAsia #RajahTannAsia #RTA #Solar #NETR #LCEGP #LowCarbonEnergyGenerationProgramme #Malaysia

Next week, our executive Mauro Andrade, will be at CERAWeek, in Houston, USA, meeting with leading global executives to discuss the challenges facing the future of energy, the environment and climate. Brazil’s prominent position when it comes to #energytransition and #futurefuels is undeniable. Currently, 93% of the country's electricity comes from renewable sources. We have abundant water, wind, and solar resources, and organic materials, which are vital to the production of biogas, biomass, and biomethane. In addition to a natural resource-based energy matrix, the country has platforms, such as the Port of Açu, focused on accelerating new energy projects. Learn about the Port of Açu’s strategy to be the port for the energy transition in Brazil: https://lnkd.in/d38Ty9qK
