🌟 Wrapping Up Our Final Onboarding Day of the Year 🌟
Just got back from my first visit to our Oslo office with my colleague Clara Lindroth, and it was a blast! 🎉As we have finished our last Onboarding Days for this year, I wanted to share a few takeaways:
🩵The Magic of In-Person Connections: While I love the flexibility of working from home, there's something truly special about meeting people face-to-face. It gives us a chance to really get to know each other and soak up the real vibe of our workplace.
💁♀️The Power of Personal Touch: The presentations that had a personal touch were the ones that really stuck with me. One of our core values is "we are wholehearted," which to me means being considerate and letting people be their true selves. I believe in mixing personal and professional, you don't have to be super private to make things more human and relatable. I'm definitely going to bring more of this into my own presentation going forward.
📑Balancing Information and Engagement: It's so easy to want to cram everything into one day, and we often end up with some information overload. This is always a challenge, but it's something we'll keep working on. Hopefully, we'll get some great feedback from the survey we sent out to all participants. Our value "we collaborate" is something we in the Culture and learning team need to live by. We need to really understand what tools and initiatives are missing. A fancy strategy doesn't help if it's not needed or desired.
As you can see, Clara and I were very happy outside our Oslo office "NOBA - Bank Norwegian" after our final Onboarding day of the year!
