Day #15 (11/21): Government Efficiency Initiatives - End Proxy Wars Either wars are important enough to convince our allies to join on the ground and mutually fund, or they aren't. The United States should not be funding proxy wars and dragging the planet into the next World War. The Ukraine escalation by the United States was a terrible mistake. Putin can also be terrible. Both can be true. Running List of Government Efficiency Initiatives: #1: FFP Contracts Only #2: 1 Acquisition System #3: Pay for Performance (Government Employees) #4: Rapid Gated Contracts #5: Extend Federal Whistle Blower Rights to Contractors #6: Free Compliance Systems #7: Eliminate Government Labs #8: Eliminate the SBA #9: Free Government IP #10: Share in Savings #11: Flat Tax #12: Fire for Performance #13: Root Out Corruption #14: Eliminate the Department of Education #15: End Proxy Wars

The policies of the Biden administration are not the work of chance. They align seamlessly with the machinery of the military-industrial complex—greased by contracts, prolonged conflicts, and alliances that serve profit over peace. What they say is democracy, what they do is war. The Ukraine front tells one part of the story, Gaza the other. In Ukraine, they drip-feed weapons, always enough to prolong the fight but never enough to win. The war lingers, smoldering in a purgatory of promises. Meanwhile, defense contractors sign fresh contracts, polishing weapons old and new. A quick victory would mean fewer orders, fewer profits. And so the conflict drags on, not toward resolution, but toward a distant horizon, where nothing is settled and everything is for sale. Gaza, though, is a sharper, darker mirror. With one hand, Biden speaks of peace. With the other, he signs off on munitions that level homes and bury children. Netanyahu intensifies his campaign, accusations of genocide circling his government like vultures. Lawsuits name Biden complicit, but they are waved away like smoke. Blinken shrugs off international outcry, blocking any real attempt at accountability. The bombs drop, and democracy becomes just another word, stretched thin over the graves of innocents. This is the rhythm of the administration—one beat in Ukraine, the next in Gaza. Support for questionable regimes dressed in the language of noble ideals. Aid flows freely to Israel, even as Netanyahu manipulates the conflict to shield himself from scandal at home. It’s a game, and Biden plays his part well, juggling appearances of diplomacy with the cold calculus of war. The pattern is unmistakable: profit, not peace. Democracy, when convenient. And always, the defense industry waiting in the wings, counting on the next contract, the next conflict, the next body. The question isn’t how far they’ll go, but whether we’ll notice when they’ve gone too far—when the wars fought in distant lands circle back to find us, knocking at our own doors. https://lnkd.in/gtX54P-y

The United States can reverse its current state and pay off its debt by changing its security system, such as investments and technologies within its country, if it would leave aside the particular interests of each official in power and think about its country and its harmonious development. To do this, it has to stop immigration and create a system of technological security as well as internal order. Ideologies and censorship only lead to underdevelopment.

Congress Returns on Monday: Key Issues on the Agenda 🏛️ As Congress returns from the Easter recess on Monday, April 8th, several matters are set to be addressed: 1️⃣ 🌉 Funding to replace the collapsed Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, which is vital for shipping and trade. Emergency funds have been allocated, but a comprehensive package is likely needed. 2️⃣ 🌍 Debate over aid to Ukraine, with the Senate having passed a package but the House remaining divided. Speaker Johnson must navigate competing pressures within his caucus. 3️⃣ ⚖️ DHS Secretary Mayorkas' trial, with the House set to present articles of impeachment and an uncertain outcome in the Senate. 4️⃣ 📅 Looming reauthorization deadlines for FISA electronic surveillance provisions (April 19th) and the FAA (May 10th) with challenges in reaching consensus. 5️⃣ 📊 FY25 budget request hearings begin, reviewing the White House's proposal, though final appropriations aren't expected until after the November presidential election at the earliest. In summary, replacing the Baltimore bridge, Ukraine aid, Sec. Mayorkas' trial, FISA and FAA reauthorizations, and the FY25 budget will be key focus areas before Congress when it reconvenes. #Construction #Congress #Appropriations #CurrentEvents

This historic event highlighted significant issues of transparency and trust within the government and shook the public's faith in their leaders. With over 58,000 US service members killed in action it was a war that many here in the US took great issue with and not least of which was a lack of transparency. 🔗 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 The publication of the Pentagon Papers marked a turning point in American history by underscoring the importance of accountability and the role of a free press in safeguarding democracy. In the UK, the Conservatives will remain largely mute on the national stage until they have selected a new leader. In the meantime, it’s worth keeping an eye on what’s happening within Nigel Farage’s Reform Party… First, Farage and his parliamentary colleagues are focussing their ire on Labour, which reflects a strategic choice to forego trying to win over more former Tory voters. Second, the party wants to create a professional and nationwide infrastructure that facilitates ‘ground campaigns’ (e.g. delivering leaflets, holding local events, etc), where it previously relied on ‘air campaigns’ (i.e. media coverage). And third, Reform is prioritising elections to local and regional positions where wins would also secure new public funding for the party. None of this guarantees success for Reform – but it is a more deliberative approach than simply provoking a protest vote. On a broader horizon, HMG is now confirming its assessment that Russia is conducting active, hostile, operations in the UK and across various EU countries. The Secret Intelligence Service is denouncing a “reckless campaign of sabotage across Europe” and the Defence Secretary is accusing Russia of carrying out “offensive cyber operations directed at governments and civilian infrastructure”. In light of this activity, HMG is diluting its ambitions to project force in the Indo-Pacific. Instead, the UK will further prioritise the European theatre – something that is likely to be emulated by other western European administrations. In practical terms, this means any European contribution to security in and around the South China Sea is going to be even more limited than it was before. That won’t make much difference in terms of the amount of military kit in the region, but it does risk leaving the USA out on a diplomatic limb when it comes to countering China.

FROM THE INTERSECTION: 🔥A BRIEF SUMMARY OF PROJECT 2025‼️ “Project 2025 is 900 pgs long, because they don't want you to read it. Anne Nelson read every creepy page and breaks it down in the Gaslit Nation Project 2025 Super Special.🧵 Trump as a puppet of the Christian nationalism, Heritage Foundation, KKK and white Jesus holding an AK-47 with a Koch label on his robe Project 2025 is the radical right's blueprint for dismantling American democracy. They want to eliminate the Dept of Education, turn the FBI/DOJ into the president's personal security forces to crush his enemies. It's straight out of an authoritarian playbook. Project 2025 even aims to repeal Schedule F, allowing a president to replace thousands of federal employees with partisan loyalists. It's the ultimate cronyism, threatening the impartiality of our civil service. Under Project 2025, the FBI would be prohibited from combating disinformation from foreign adversaries like Russia and China. It's like handing the keys of our democracy to foreign powers. 50 billionaire families poured over a billion dollars into the 2024 election so far, the vast majority to Republicans and Trump. (That doesn't count dark money hidden by Citizens United). Their goal? More tax cuts and deregulation at the expense of democracy.”
