Entrepreneur and investor Nikhil Kamath has made a minority investment in KNAV US, a global accounting and business advisory firm. The investment marks the first phase of a larger financial commitment aimed at driving KNAV's global expansion strategy, which includes acquisitions, talent recruitment, and technological advancements, the firm announced. KNAV, based in Atlanta, anticipates that this strategic partnership with Kamath will provide substantial resources to support the firm’s entry into new markets and enhance its service offerings. While further investments may be considered in the future, Kamath’s stake will remain a minority interest, ensuring that KNAV retains control over its strategic direction. Kamath expressed confidence that the investment would enable KNAV to differentiate itself from competitors and expand its global footprint. "This investment will empower KNAV to enhance its services and broaden its reach globally," Kamath said. KNAV CEO Nishta Sharma highlighted that the funding would support the firm’s strategy of seamless global service delivery. "Our growth plan involves making strategic acquisitions, recruiting top talent, and advancing our technology infrastructure to continue delivering exceptional value to our clients," Sharma noted. Ascendus Law Partners (ALP) advised Kamath on the transaction, with a team led by Partner Vasundhra Minocha and Counsel Siddharth Tewari. As interest rates have fallen, PE is picking up again ➡️ Sovereign wealth funds and big pension funds from abroad are also keen to take public companies private and majority shareholders are increasingly buying out minorities ➡️ There is some optimism that there will be an increase in IPOs in the coming months as part of the ebb and flow of public and private markets FDI and national security screening have proliferated globally in recent years for geopolitical reasons.
