There are pros and cons to everything, especially in education. When it comes to use of AI in Standardized Testing do the cons outweigh the pros? Would like to know your thoughts.
AI has the potential to help usher in a new, deeper breed of state standardized tests, but there are plenty of reasons for caution. #K12 #AI #EdTech

Hey AI, think before you speak! 🤖💬 Check out this prepublication study on the Quiet-STaR method. The study shows significant performance improvements in both quantitative and qualitative tasks. As AI continues to play an increasingly important role in our daily lives, it's crucial to ensure that it's not just speaking, but also ‘thinking’ before it does so. The Quiet-STaR method is a promising development in this direction. To be clear, this is far from “self-awareness” in a human cognitive sense, but it is an inroads to more internal processing before externalization. If you're interested in learning more about this exciting new development in AI technology, be sure to check out the study! #AI #technology #QuietSTaR #research

🤖 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿: 𝗔 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗜 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 Stanford University, along with various institutes, has developed an innovative approach called Quiet Star, enabling LLMs to 'think before speaking.' Unlike traditional models, Quiet Star allows LLMs to generate rationales for their responses, enhancing their problem-solving abilities without specific data set training. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: - Employs a unique 'think-talk-learn' process for deeper reasoning. - Demonstrates significant improvement in complex task handling. - Offers a scalable approach to AI reasoning across various domains. This development could redefine AI interactions, making them more intuitive and effective. A fantastic article on pattern tracking- the original and fastest way to learn. Great work Cindy Blanco, PhD. This has to be one of my #favoritereads this month! For all of my #learninganddevelopment professionals out there, take a look at how well learning patterns track from infancy to becoming an adult. #AI is built around human learning and learns the same way we do. I'd love to hear your thoughts on application to process training and sales training especially. https://lnkd.in/e7pm9z4M

AI is here to stay and evolve with time, how do we ensure that the technology becomes an enabler rather than a disruptor? Appropriate governance as well as generating awareness among educators and students can enable the students to enhance their critical thinking abilities and meet their learning objectives.
In an era where #AI paraphrasing tools are prevalent, the importance of teaching critical thinking skills to students cannot be overstated. By nurturing critical thinking, students develop the ability to discern and analyze information effectively, fostering original thought and deeper engagement with course material.
