Economic & Trade Mission - Embassy of Israel in Vietnam’s Post

Humanity has shown that population increase and climate change are hazardous combinations, as nations struggle to feed a population that is growing at an alarming rate while water, which is essential to agriculture, is becoming increasingly scarce. By measuring the amount of water that crops truly require to thrive, Israeli companies has created a system that may save a significant portion of the valuable water used in farming. Based on the idea that this activity expends energy, which in turn generates heat, the business created a sensor that is directly inserted into the trunk or stem of a crop and tracks the plant's water consumption using temperature rises. An analytics program receives the data gathered by the sensors and converts temperature variations into the amount of water absorbed by the plant. Notable companies in the field include: Manna Irrigation, Metzer, Netafim, Rivulis Irrigation, Paskal, SupPlant, Talgil and Viridix Details at: https://lnkd.in/dn6ndTz4 Gal Saf Trang Minh Nghiem Luan Nguyen #Israel #Vietnam #agriculture #irrigation #sensors #foodtech
