A quick clip from our recent conversation with Don Dennison. Link to full video is below. #ImagingIT
In this clip, Don Dennison, CIIP, FSIIM discusses the challenges of implementing enterprise imaging strategies in the face of pressing radiology needs. He highlights the common desire for a unified system that does everything, but stresses the importance of addressing immediate radiology issues first, especially when dealing with outdated systems. Don shares his experience in how larger academic healthcare systems often face delays in enterprise imaging due to constant new priorities like hospital acquisitions or EMR migrations. Is the Northern Netherlands becoming the new hotspot for medical innovation? The opportunities are abundant, and the iMPACT Implants project perfectly demonstrates what is possible when specialists join forces. The goal of this project? To develop personalized implants, tailored to the unique anatomy of each patient. By combining advanced 3D technology with patient-specific data, such as bite force and walking patterns, we make this possible. This is already being applied on a small scale. The next step is to further optimize it and roll it out on a larger scale. Together with partners like the UMCG, the ENTEG Institute of the University of Groningen, BAAT Medical, Bether Encapsulates, and PolyVation, we are working towards our ambition of making personalized implants the new standard. This project is made possible by a €3.7 million grant from the Just Transition Fund (JTF) to launch the iMPACT Implants program. The total project value amounts to €7.3 million. Want to know more about this project? Visit https://lnkd.in/ebvGH4Dr This project is co-financed by the European Union. #InnovatingTogether #healthcare #innovation #collaboration
