🚨 New Publication! 🚨 I'm excited to share our latest case report published in European Heart Journal - Case Reports: “Distal solution for an (un)conventional radial artery complication: a Case Report”   🩺 Highlights: - The report presents a rare yet complex case of a large-neck pseudoaneurysm following transradial access (TRA) for coronary angiography. - This non-surgical approach, utilizing an upsized sheath technique, proved effective for safe pseudoaneurysm exclusion—providing an alternative to traditional methods. - Our findings underscore the value of innovative techniques in challenging clinical scenarios and demonstrate potential benefits for patients, especially those at higher risk for surgical interventions. The first documented use of #DistalRadialAccess in interventional cardiology was to successfully reopen a recently occluded radial artery. Since then, #DistalRadialAccess has emerged as a compelling alternative to conventional #TransRadialAccess with randomized controlled trials and meta-analyses swiftly demonstrating its effectiveness in preserving #RadialArteryPatency. This report highlights the potential of #DistalRadialAccess to address other complications of conventional #TransRadialAccess, including the management of large-neck pseudoaneurysms.
