Meetings-can-be-better Monday! I've been chatting virtual collaboration this past week and remembering the old adage, "if all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail" Y'all, the video meeting gets heavy use, but we have so many other tools in the box! Before you schedule your next Teams or Zoom call, get curious about whether you have asynchronous methods of getting the job done. We have been thinking this week at The Inform Team about meeting culture and considering the value of meetings and how to ensure that they are optimised. I'm wondering, how many of your meetings have agenda's, how many have action items resulting from the meeting and are they followed up by an owner, how many people attend meetings but have no contribution? Does anyone use the agenda loop component available when creating a meeting in Teams? Millions of meetings per day. More than half is considered #ineffective. Next time you schedule one, think of asynchronous collaboration at any scale. Just for a second... It's getting quite old school to think of meetings as 'meetings' in a room or Teams session.
