What if I told you that AI "granny" is outsmarting phone scammers while talking about her cat Fluffy and knitting adventures? Meet "Daisy," the creation of British mobile company O2. Daisy is not your typical AI, she’s a feisty fraud-fighter who keeps scammers on the line for hours, wasting their time so they can’t prey on real people. Here’s how it works:  🧓 O2 uses "number seeding" to bait scammers into calling Daisy. 🧓 Once they do, this chatty AI gets to work, rambling about her day, sharing "personal" stories, and frustrating scammers to the point of hanging up. It’s AI with a personality — and a mission! This is an awesome use case for AI - not just automation and efficiency, but a tool making a real positive difference. O2 shows us that AI isn’t all about serious business, it can also be playful, clever, and impactful. In a world full of cyber threats, it’s refreshing.   #AI #Innovation https://lnkd.in/d-aCiYQS

Thanks for sharing Erez. Indeed AI for good use case. I wonder if any other business organization would try and create impactful use case for society, on top of their productivity and business value generators.

It would be great to have an app on smartphone that you enable to talk with unwanted promoters, advertisers and scammers instead of just blocking them
