What do these guys have in common? Looking at the photo, it might be hard to guess. At a first glance, you can tell that one works with large industrial projects. The other appears to be an “office guy”. Jonas is an apprentice working at the Kollsnes gas processing plant and is at the beginning of his career. Sverre, who has worked for Equinor for more than 40 years, was the project director at Northern Lights, our carbon transport and storage facility. I met them both earlier this year, visiting Øygarden outside Bergen. They are shaping today and tomorrow. Jonas, like most in our company, produces the energy that is needed today. Sverre, has prepared our company for a different tomorrow. Yet, both are guided by the same mindset. In Equinor we call it “searching for better”.  It is about people’s efforts, ideas, expertise and ability to collaborate. Their inherent drive to solve a difficult task. Meeting people like Jonas and Sverre makes me an optimist. It gives me confidence that we will contribute with a wide span of solutions that are needed both today and for tomorrow. Different experiences, ideas, and competences within a company are so important to succeed🙌

Ha Good luck with that Anders! Oil Industry is toxic and in its death spiral and you know it. Struggling to get finance, margins widened, insurance nigh on impossible. Norway's wealth from extractive, polluting, heating, dirty oil. The Litigation against you (personally) is coming. Another World is possible.

Hilarious Anders - before I had the opportunity to click to show the whole post I thought 'that second dude looks like an office guy'. And then you said it 😄 Office guys do important work though - great that you have them working on tough challenges 🙌 Finding solutions and value for future energy solutions is more important than ever.

Great post, really highlights the need for younger talent in the energy industry, and I love the motto "searching for better".
